Cheap Spain Rental Cars

Spain is a relatively small country, it is filled with many unique cities and neighborhoods to visit.  As a result, the best way to explore Spain is with a rental car.  By hiring a rental car, you will have the flexibility to see all that this diverse county has to offer.

Madrid is a cultural metropolis with many historic museums, statues and art exhibits spread all over the city.   Notable tourist sites to drive to are Museo Nacional de Prado, El Palacio Royal, Plaza de Cibeles, San Francisco el Grande Basilica and the Market of San Miguel. Drive out to the Plaza Mayor and Gran Via.  Here you can enjoy tapas, a glass of wine and some fun shopping. Although there is plenty to see and do in the city of Madrid, to get a true feel of Spain, you will want to use your rental car to drive out too many of the tourist destinations surrounding the city of Madrid.  Families will want to drive to the Madrid Zoo and Aquarium. Consider taking a few day trips with your rental car to Segovia, Toledo, Chinchon and Avila.  Each unique village are rich in history, culture and art and host some of Spain's most popular traditions. You should consider driving out to the UNESCO town of Salamanca. Madrid’s wine country is another trip to consider. There are dozens of wineries offering an opportunity to taste some of the region’s best wines. 

Barcelona is a diverse city that is filled with many unique neighborhoods.  As a result, the best way to explore Barcelona is with a rental car.   Once your pick-up your rental car, consider driving out to the Costa Blanca Coast, about an hour Southeast from Barcelona. You should consider driving out to the popular La Barcelonta Beach. It’s a fun area to bike, relax on the beach or enjoy one of the many seaside restaurants. Drive out to the Montjuic District to visit the National Museum of Catalan Art, Museum of Archeology, Ethnology Museum and the weekend Magic Fountain Light Show!   Drive out to the famous Park Guell.  Here you can experience the amazing architecture of Gaudi.  Another notable area of amazing history and architecture is represented at the famous Casa Batillo.  You may also take day trips to Segovia, Toledo and Avila.  Each unique village are rich in history, culture and art and host some of Spain's most popular traditions.  Take an adventure and drive out to the famous Pyrenees Mountains.  Drive through the Catalonia Region for a unique taste of Barcelona Culture. 

Once your pick-up your rental car, consider driving out to the village of Genova located about 15 minutes away from downtown Mallorca. The town has amazing shopping and dining options. A wonderful day trip is to drive the scenic highway along the Cap de Formentor.  You will want to drive on the road to Sa Calobra along the mountains into the bay of Sa Calobra. You will want to drive out to the beautiful ancient town of Alcudia. Enjoy strolling through the winding cobblestone streets which date back to the 14th century.  You should consider driving to the west coast area of Serra de Tramuntana for a day of exploration. You will want to visit the ancient villages like Valldemossa and Deia.  Consider driving up to Mallorca’s Interior (rich farmlands/vineyards/small villages) to spend time exploring the towns of Sevla, Orient, Fornalutx, Arta and Manacor. Finally, do not leave Mallorca without driving up to the Castle of Capdepera. Wherever you drive your rental car in Spain, you are sure to have the time of your life.
