Reno, Nevada is one of the largest cities in the United States.  Reno and the surrounding county is very spread out, so if you are going anywhere other than the Reno strip, it is a good idea to get a rental car.  By renting a car you will have the flexibility to see all that Reno has to offer.  Drive out to the revitalized Riverwalk area along the Truckee River.
