Depending on where you are in the terminal, you also may need to check your bag through customs and security, so be sure to give yourself at least 2 hours to connect to your domestic flight within the airport.

   China Airport Transportation 

If you choose to fly into the Beijing Capital International Airport you will need to work out your ground transportation. The Beijing Capital International Airport is located 28 km south-west of Beijing's city center. The best way to travel from the Beijing Capital International Airport to the Beijing city center is to take the Beijing Capital Airport Express Train, bus, taxi, sedan service and car rentals. The Beijing Capital Airport Express Train departs from Terminals 2 & 3 of the Beijing Airport every 15 - 20 minutes. The Beijing Express Train takes about 30 minutes to travel from the Airport to the city center, making it the most efficient way to travel from the Capital Airport to Beijing. The public transportation system in general, is great in Beijing. You can get anywhere by taxi, Beijing Metro, buses or car rental once you arrive in the city center. If you are planning on traveling to other cities within Beijing, you will probably want to hire a rental car. You can either rent a car at the Beijing Capital International Airport or take public transportation into the city center and rent a car at one of the rental car offices located throughout Beijing.

If you choose to fly into the Shanghai Pudong International Airport you will need to work out your ground transportation.The Shanghai Pudong International Airport is located 46 km north-west of Shanghai's city center. The best way to travel from the Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Shanghai city center is to take the Shanghai Airport Maglev Train. The Maglev levitates by magnetic energy on the tracks, removing all friction. The Maglev Train is the fastest train in the world, making the 19-mile journey from the Shanghai Pudong International Airport to downtown Shanghai in just 7 minutes, making it the most efficient way to travel the Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Shanghai city center. The public transportation system in general, is great in Shanghai. You can get anywhere by taxi, Shanghai Suburban Rail or by car rental once you arrive in the city. If you are planning on traveling to other cities within Shanghai, you will probably want to hire a rental car. You can either rent a car at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport or take public transportation into the city center and rent a car at one of the rental car offices located throughout Shanghai.
