Some of the main sights you should not miss on the island is watching the sunrise over the Haleakala National Park, Maui Ocean Center, the lush Iao Needle Park, the 7 Sacred Pools of Ohe’o Gulch, tour a Pineapple Farm, wine tasting at Tedeschi Winery, have lunch at Mama’s Fish House, watch hardcore surfers at Hookipa Beach in Pia, play a round of golf in Kapalua or Wailea, take a ferry to Lanai, or a snorkeling tour to Molokini.  

The northwest side of the island is home to Lahaina town where you can experience a traditional Hawaiian Luau at The Feast of Lele or Old Lahaina. Spend some time under the Banyan tree after a day of souvenir shopping or dinning along Front Street.  Beach it along Maui’s popular Kaanapali, Napili or Kapalua Bay and Honolua Bay for sunbathing, snorkeling with turtles or surfing. The beach towns of Kihei and Wailea are on the southwest side of the island. Makena Beach a short drive from Wailea, is one of the most popular beaches on the island. It’s divided between big beach and the more private clothing optional little beach. You should consider taking the 65-mile picturesque road to Hana and end at the Wai’anapanapa State Park Black Sand Beach.
